Babies and parents alike benefit from this ancient tradition that has been practiced around the world for centuries and is now being rediscovered here in the United States. Research shows that infants who are massaged daily sleep better, have less colic and gain weight faster. Their parents have decreased stress and anxiety and develop more confidence in their parenting skills. Benefits for mothers & non- carrying partners learning infant massage while they are pregnant include decreased stress & anxiety, increased bonding with their fetus, enhanced birth plans, & partner bonding. For babies with developmental delays and disabilities the research demonstrated multiple benefits which will be discussed in the certification training. An adaptation framework will be provided & multiple opportunities for observation & reflection of parents with their babies in massage.

Each instructor training includes LIVE DEMONSTRATION CLASSES WITH LOCAL FAMILIES! Loving Touch® has the sole and exclusive right to issue CIMI certification to individuals who have successfully completed CIMI training through Baby & Me, LLC’s training. Lynn Barts is authorized to train individuals for CIMI certification. Upon completion of the Loving Touch® Certified Infant Massage Instructor Training CIMI® with Lynn Barts, all CIMI-candidates are eligible to complete certification through the International Loving Touch® Foundation, Inc., for authorized CIMI certification. Baby & Me, LLC does not guarantee to any individual that completion of Licensee’s training will secure a CIMI certification. The grant of CIMI certification is in the sole and exclusive discretion of Licensor and subject to the appropriate completion of all certification items & payment of appropriate certification fees.
